Samsung continued to dominate Egyptian smartphone sales in March 2018

Samsung continued to lead the mobile phone market in Egypt, as its market share increased in March by 3.8%. According to a report by StatCounter, the market share of Samsung increased to 42.8% of mobile phone sales, up from 39% in February 2018.

According to the report, Huawei continued to occupy second place in terms of sales of mobile phones with a share of 13.1% in March compared to 14.1% in February 2018, a 1% decline.

The market share of Apple declined in March by 3%, as the iPhone-maker’s market share of mobile phone sales in Egypt declined from 13.8% in February to 10.7% in March.

Lenovo occupied the fourth spot in terms of smartphone market share in March despite the slight decline in its market share from 7.3% in February to 7.2% in March.

Infinix came fifth despite the slight decline in its market share, as its market share in March reached 4.5%, compared to 4.9% in February 2018.

According to the report, the market share of HTC was estimated to represent 3.5% of mobile phone sales in Egypt in March compared to 3% in February, occupying sixth place.

As for the market share of Tecno Mobile in March, it sat at 2.3%, unchanged from February 2018.

Nokia came last in terms of mobile phone market share in Egypt with 1.5% of sales in March compared to 1.7% in February 2018.
