Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra EU Price Leak

A news story by Phone Arena reports that Samsung is gearing up for the debut of the Galaxy S23 series, which launches in the next seven days or merely a week.

But ahead of its launch, leaks are still sprouting like mushrooms, giving excited fans a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming flagship series.

A well-known leaker disclosed the possible pricing details of the Galaxy S23 series in the EU region. Roland Quandt says that the early price tag information came from a retailer in Spain.

The price leak predicts that the Galaxy S23 starts at 959 Euros or roughly $1,044, while the Ultra with 12GB RAM and 512 storage retails for 1589 Euros, which is around $1,730.

More Expensive Pricing for the EU Region?

The leaker says that a Spanish retailer suggests that the S23 Plus, which rocks 8GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, costs 1209 Euros or roughly $1,316.

Meanwhile, the 512GB variant of the S23+ costs 1329 Euros or $1,447. The S23 Ultra, on the other hand, starts at 1409 Euros or $1,534.

And as such, the leaked pricing highly suggests that Samsung is making its next-generation flagship more costly, at least in the EU region.

According to GSM Arena, the leaked pricing of the base model S23 is roughly 100 Euros higher than its older sibling, the S22 series. The price hike is a bit higher for the cheapest Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is to the tune of 150 Euros.

However, it is worth noting that the price hike could likely be exclusive to EU customers. Given that, the US pricing might differ.

It should be noted that Apple sells its iPhone 14 series in the EU for a more expensive price tag. While in the US, the latest lineup still carried similar pricing as the iPhone 13 models.

With that, it would not be surprising that Samsung is following through. In turn, the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series would match the cost of iPhones in the region.
