WWE Royal Rumble 2019 takes place later this month to mark the beginning of the 'Road to WrestleMania'.

Four titles will be on the line in matches featuring the top talents from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.

And there will be not one but two Royal Rumble contests, starring 30 male and 30 female WWE superstars.

The WWE Network special will be the 32nd Royal Rumble event since the pay-per-view's debut back in 1988

When is WWE Royal Rumble 2019?

WWE Royal Rumble 2019 will be broadcast live from the Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday, January 27. It gets underway from 7pm local time and from midnight in the UK.

Where can I watch it?

The pay-per-view event is available for £14.95 on Sky Box Office with either a live or repeat viewing.

What about The Kickoff pre-show?

A panel of WWE greats and pundits will break down all the action to come during a bumper two-hour WWE Royal Rumble 2019 Kickoff pre-show. No matches have been confirmed for the build-up slot so far, but there is likely be at least two contests. This will start at 5pm local time and at 10pm in the UK.

What is the main event?

The inaugural women's Royal Rumble match headlined last year's event, when Asuka triumphed and Ronda Rousey made her debut post-match. This time around, the men may take centre stage in the main event.

Names confirmed so far for the men's rumble include R-Truth, Drew McIntyre, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Finn Bálor, Seth Rollins , Jeff Hardy, Dean Ambrose, Bobby Lashley and Samoa Joe.

The women's rumble is set to feature Carmella, Ember Moon, Natalya, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

What about the Universal and WWE championships?

At TLC, Braun Strowman defeated Baron Corbin in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match to earn a Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles to retain the WWE Championship at TLC. On January 1, 2019 episode of SmackDown, Styles earned another opportunity against Bryan at the event by defeating Randy Orton, Mustafa Ali, Rey Mysterio, and Samoa Joe in a fatal five-way match.

What about the women's championships?

Asuka defeated Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at TLC to win the SmackDown Women's Championship. But now 'The Man' Lynch will get her rematch after besting Flair and Carmella on SmackDown.

What are the other key matches on the card?

On the TLC pre-show, Buddy Murphy retained the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Cedric Alexander. He is now set to defend the title in a fatal four-way match. Kalisto and Akira Tozawa qualified for the match by defeating Lio Rush and Drew Gulak, respectively.

The final spot will be determined in a match between Alexander and Hideo Itami.
