Apple Vacations Launches New Agent Loyalty Program

Apple Vacations reports it has officially launched its new travel agent loyalty program, Royalties Xchange. The company had first announced the new program at its Golden Apple Awards Gala in September as part of a series of changes the tour operator is making as part of the merger between Apple Leisure Group (ALG) and The Mark Travel Corporation (TMTC) into a combined parent company.

With Royalties Xchange, agents now have access to new features and capabilities such as real-time conversion of points onto a Virtual Visa card and the ability to redeem rewards for ALG-branded merchandise. Apple Vacations says that these features will provide greater ease of use, flexibility and more attractive redemption options for travel agents booking with the company.

The new Virtual Visa card as a credit card number, expiration data and security code just like a physical card and can be redeemed anywhere Visa is accepted, including via Apple, Google or Samsung Play mobile wallet transactions or other retail websites.

Apple Vacations said that the real-time conversion of points onto a Virtual Visa card ensures agents can take immediate advantage of retailer sales, promotions and special discount offers. Additionally, agents can use Royalties Points toward travel-related purchases for themselves or their valued clients.

Looking ahead, executives have said that agents can expect a new, combined loyalty program across all ALG brands, in a move aimed at simplification. That program is expected to debut in June 2019.
