The Apple iPhone 7 fever might not be over, yet the rumours of the next version of the smartphone are already doing the rounds. Apple will reportedly celebrate the 10th anniversary of its iPhone in the year 2017, and will celebrate it with a totally changed version of the iPhone. If history is any clue the next smartphone by Apple should be called the iPhone 7S, but since the changes are expected to be so different, that it would be called the iPhone 8. According to a report in the Business Indider, Apple is working on the new iPhone in its office in Herzliya, Israel. Business Insider said an Apple employee gave the information that the next smartphone will be called the ‘iPhone 8’ and that it will be ‘totally redesigned’ to make it ‘different’ from the iPhone 7.

The Israel office is considered the second-largest Research and Development facility of Apple in the world and CEO Tim Cook had visited there early in 2015. Around that time Apple reportedly had almost 700 employees working on several Apple parts. There were almost 6,000 developers working on Apple’s operating system applications. The employee quoted by Business Insider was said to be working on Apple componets and claimed that Apple’s employees in Israel were developing all of the company’s new products.

The most intriguing rumour that has come forth is that the new iPhone might have a curved flexible OLED display, though one can expect that only in the premium variants. Interestingly, Apple had reportedly signed an $2.6 billion agreement with Samsung for OLED panels early this year. OLED screens can be great for smartphones as they are very thin and can be curved too. The much-anticipated camera which saw a great overhaul in the latest iPhone 7, is expected to get evne better if the OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) is provided for both the cameras.
